first step

The picture was taken on Friday 16 May 2014, a warm evening at 17:00.  In a District Line train, near Mile End station towards the west.  The person who was wearing these black shoes is a white man, in his mid-30s.  He was wearing a black kippah, headphones, glasses and a black backpack, as seen in the photo.

I took a seat.  I had wanted to go back to being myself before I’d left my house.
